Pumpkin Carving Stuff's!

So, today we carved our pumkins for Halloween! (Well, Steve and I carved while Jenni and Joe-joe played!) I got a great big one for me, Steve and Jenni both got normal sized ones, and Joe-joe got a bitty one! We didn't think Joe-joe would do to well with the whole carving thing, so he has the 'potato head' pirate. Jenni wanted to do a spider (so she could 'scare' joshie and brianna!) I did a kitty on a moon. I think my favorite though, was Steve's! He did this

;)

haha! it was so cute! I totally loved it! and it only took him like 2 minutes! It was awesome! Here's some pics

At the beginning. just as we started.

Jenni wasn't super excited about getting the 'guts' out, but she did pretty good!

more de-goobering . . .

and the icky hands!

look at all those guts!! Yeah, my pumkin was SO thick, I had to scrape a ton off the inside so I didn't have to try and carve through 2 inches of pumkin wall! We did save a bunch of seeds for roasting, but they have to dry overnight, so we'll see how they turn out tomorrow!

The finished product! Aren't they so cute!

Jenni posing by her pumkin. I had to stand so my shadow would block the sun from her eyes, so this picture looks kinda odd!

The most important people in my life! How much do I love them? Let me count the ways!!! no just kidding! We had so much fun! We got one of those pumkin carving kits and it was SO easy! I couldn't believe how easy it was. I mean, we've always worked with a pattern, but we used to have to poke the holes individually to transfer the pattern onto the pumkin, which always took FOREVER! so but the time we actually got around to carving we were SO DONE with the whole thing! But this kit had this cool little tool that was basically a spiky wheel in a handle, so you could just roll the wheel across the edges, and it put all the holes right where you needed them!

Yeah- I just re-read that last paragraph and it totally doesn't make sense! Ah well, I'm sick, and it's late! And Joe joe has kept me up alot over the last few nights! We're taking him to Dr. Cherrington tomorrow though! I'll take pics of the pumkins with candles in them tomorrow when its dark. ooo, can you even contain your excitement???? I bet you just can't wait!!!!

ok, really. It's time for bed! Oh, and just fyi- I still haven't found my camera! double ack!! I stole my mom's camera for this!

thats all for now!
peace out!

Daddy or Mommy???

Mommy or Daddy??

sleep . . . precious sleep

So I tried to go to sleep after my last post. I really did! ALAS, it was not meant to be! Joe joe is sick as well, and just as I was falling asleep he fell off the bed! (This is common for him . . . really) He usually just goes right back to sleep . . on the floor. But I guess since he already wasn't feeling good he couldn't! so I picked him up and he was SO HOT! really. He had to be at least 103. Maybe higher. (It was 2 am and I couldn't find me thermometer) And he was crying like . . well like you could just tell he didn't feel good. I could sympathize!

why do I mention this you ask? I'll tell you. I knew I needed to give him some medicine, but our medicine is all packed at Steve's 'rents house (yeah- I didn't think that one through first!) I knew mom and dad had some in their closet, but as it was 2:30 am I didn't really want to go wake them up! (although I would have, if I hadn't found any, 'cause I know my parents would be totally ok with that) So I kind of said a silent prayer hoping I could figure something out. I was standing by the foot of my bed, and I looked down by my foot, and sitting on the floor right at my feet was a bottle of children's Motrin! I was SO grateful! I hate being sick myself, but even more I don't handle my kids being sick very well at all! I sighed a great relief sigh, and actually said thank you out loud! I mean, I'll be the first to say that my room is a mess- and it's hard to find stuff sometimes, but really- I had looked for medicine so many times before! so many times! and then when I really need it, its right there!

I am so blessed.

just another confirmation that Heavenly Father watches over us and knows what we need!

I gave joe joe the medicine, and cuddled with him. He fell asleep after about an hour. and though he slept fitfully, he still slept. And so did I. Kind of! Steve went to go help his mom get some stuff from his grandma's house this morning/afternoon, but we decided that it would be better if joe-joe didn't go 'cause Marianne (Steve's mom) has Hailey (our niece) and we thought it would be better if joe joe didn't expose her to whatever he has. I was bummed because I haven't seen Grandma Afton forever! but he's REALLY tired now, so hopefully if I cuddle him, we'll both be able to get some more sleep!

We'll just have to go see Grandma Afton again another day! I'm sure she won't mind! really, She's the sweetest ever.

Anywho, time for me to try to get some more sleep! wish me luck! oh, and if I ever find my camera, I'll post pics from Vegas. I'm really hoping it's just lost somewhere in the mess of a room I live in! maybe I should try praying for it . . .

ok thats all!
peace out yo!

It's all in how I endure it . . .

**sigh** So ALAS! I am sick- yet again! I think I have the Flu (ironic since I just had a flu shot like a week and a half ago! actually I think that may be why I'm sick now!) My immune system just doesn't seem to work like everyone else's! stupid dumb ol' immune system!

But, I have to stop myself. I had a very very strong impression this last week (since I've been in the hospital and stuff) that this is a very important trial in my life. I've come to grips with the fact that I may have some health issues for a bit- but what really matters is how I endure them! I think I can finally say that the Lord isn't punishing me for not being 'good enough', but this is my trial, and I need to endure it the best that I can! So, even though I'm not feeling super great, today was an ok day!

I really shouldn't complain at all, cause really- how many people in this world have what I have?? How many people have the kind of support system I've got here! And how many people get to live so close to their family (which includes you flee).I mean, really- I'm feeling very blessed tonight! Sorry to steal from you Jenn (sister, not daughter) but I'm posting the quote you found here, cause it really impressed me. I felt a very strong witness that I need to practice this theory in my life! so here it is:

Hope is the anticipation that the outcome will be good.

Worry is the anticipation that the outcome will be bad.

Faith is the anticipation that whatever the outcome, it will be for our good.

I've always been a pretty hopeful person- but I have also been a great worry-er as well! (gosh, I can't imagine where I could have gotten that from **cough-dad-cough**) hee hee!) So, as my . . er . . new-november's resolution I'm going to try, really try, to not worry so much! We'll see how it goes!

anyway. It's super late and I need sleep. I just had to write a quick post before I nodded off!

peace out!
thats all!

Twilighters Anonymous

I've taken a quiz like this before, but got a different result (I am so NOT Rosalie! what like ever!) I liked this one much better!!

Who are you????

I'm a Esme! I found out through TwilightersAnonymous.com. Which Twilight Female Are You? Take the quiz and find out!
Take the Quiz and Share Your Results!

You are thoughtful and care very deeply for your family. A loving home is of great importance to you and you always try to make people feel welcome. Although you have a great capacity to love, you also have a great capacity to hurt, so at times you can be sensitive. You're firm when you need to be, but people trust your judgment and appreciate the kind way you always handle things.

oh, I like Esme! I can so be Esme!
Geez, look at me go! Two posts in one day! At least being in the hospital has its perks! I get caught up on all the blogs I've missed recently! Look like I'll go home today though! WAHOO! I need to go hug my kidlets and cuddle with my hubband. Really, one of my favorite places to be is watching a movie on my bed with my husband and kids next to me! Yeah, time for me to go HOME! there's no place like home . . . there's no place like home . . . there's no place like home . . .
hmmm. still here. Didn't work. gotta get me some ruby slippers!
anyway. GO BYU! BYU is playing UNLV today at noon! Pray they'll have a better week than they did last week! 'cause yikes. Last week was awful!
ok, thats all!

At the hospital . . . again

So, here I sit at 5:22 am in the cardiology unit at the U of U hospital. Flee brought me here last night, at around 8:30, and I was admitted to the floor by midnight! The fastest admit EVER! Really! I only waited in the waiting room for about 10 minutes! The tech told me they bumped me to the front of the line cause my vitals weren't good! (Yeah- a key to NOT waiting in the ER - - - - walk in with a heart rate of 175 bpm! They'll get you right back!)

So, the Dr's here are great. They are doing some totally different stuff! I must admit though, when they suggested a medication that stops my heart for 3 seconds, I was a little nervous, but then they ended up not doing that! I was really ok with that! Anyway. So I'm working on enduring this trial with a positive attitude! I've decided that I can handle anything if I have the right attitude (even really gross hospital food! And by the way Flee, the rice was so so gross! oh wait, I mean it was SO good and I am SO looking forward to my next meal, cause I know it's going to taste great! hee hee hee! yeah- no one else is going to get that, but Flee will appreciate it!!!)

Hmm. I don't really have a lot to say. I'm just so incredibly BORED! And these hospital beds aren't exactly comfortable! so yeah. hopefully I'll be able to sleep later! until then, looks like its more Jimmy Neutron (yeah- really there is NOTHING on tv! except infomercials and Jimmy, so Jimmy it is!)

So everyone out there in cyberspace- hope things are going great! And really, don't worry about me~ I got a blessing from my daddy that gave me a lot of hope! So I'll be doing awesome soon!

ok, thats all!

Wow! It's been a while!

So, I've been sorta out of commission lately. I've been working alot and then there was that surprise trip to Vegas. Yeah. So trying to catch up on everyone's blogs when I got back took me a while! So If I didn't comment on your blog it's not cause I Didn't read them! I promise!

So, who has the best husband ever??? Oh, thats right, that would be ME!!! So, last Wednesday Flee called me at about 6:00 and asks if I'd like to go to vegas with her. I was like "sure! when do you want to go?"

Her reply: oh, about an hour!

My reply: Um, let me call you right back!

So I turned to my cute husband and said Flee was going to Vegas and wanted me to come with her, but we'd be leaving in about an hour. He didn't even miss a beat- he said "ok!"

How sweet is that! Yeah, I do have the best husband in the world!!! Just so we all know!

Vegas was fun, except for the times I got whiplash. (You try walking down the strip and NOT looking at all the smut they have- it'll probably give you whiplash too!!!) I'd like to say the last day was fun (Saturday) but since Flee and I spent over NINE hours in the ER, it could've been better! ('specially since we saw a dead person! ACK!) But even though we were in the ER, it was still fun. I had two nurses who were both great (one was SO funny! She was from New York, and had the accent and everything! It was great! She called me "the little princess in 12" cause we were in room 12) Although, you couldn't really call it a room, it was basically on really big circular room with a bunch of curtains! Yeah- and for those of you who don't have a lot of experience with ER's they have the machines they use to check your stats that beep frequently. Imagine 12 of those in one room, and not being able to silence them!! At one point they were making this cool rhythm, and we were grooving to it, but that was only for a couple of seconds!

Anyway, the Dr at the ER didn't want me to leave, he wanted to admit me. And, can I just say- I do NOT cry in front of doctors. In my adult life I have cried in front of dr.'s 3 times, and twice I was pregnant so they don't really count! I now have to say I have cried 4 times. bug. The dr came in telling me what he thought was going on and kinda scared me a little. After talking with Steve I was like "I just wanna go home. just let me go home!" totally bawling! I was so bugged!

So he said I could leave AMA (against medical advice) but to go to the U of U hospital when I got home. He did say if he thought I was going to die he wouldn't let me leave, but he would have rather I stayed! He was a cool dr. I was glad we had him!

So yeah. I will post more about our trip later- as soon as I find my camera! (Which, I think may have been left somewhere in vegas! ACK!!!!) but really there isn't really much to post. I mean, if you've been to vegas, there's pretty much not a whole lot to say.

And to you Flee, I have one thing to say (well actually I have TONS of things I could say, but I'll just say one.)

S.I.O.T.T.U. Yeah . . . just . . . just siotu. Love you!!

ok thats all for now! I'll most likely be going to the U of U hospital in the next few days, so I can give you an expert opinion of their hospital as well! (who knew I'd become a connoisseur of er's??)

work work work work work work work work work work work work work

so, I don't know if you can tell from my title, but it kinda feels like all I've done lately is work! I worked Monday night, Tuesday night, Wednesday night, and I'm working again tonight. ACK! What a long week! I guess it's good though since Steve still has not found a job. (Not for lack of looking.) Looks like we'll have to start looking a little more aggressively out of state. bummer.
I was so excited when I got on to read my comments! My good friend Abby found me! YAY! And from her I found Amy (formerly Tregaskis) and David! And from Amy I found her sister Michelle, and from Michelle I found a bunch of people from my old ward in Orem- the ward I grew up in! YAY FOR BLOGSPOT!!!! it's so my favorite website right now! (now I just need to find Heather and Reba! anyone know where I might find them on blogspot???
And, by the way Karla I did finally get your message about piano lessons. Sorry I haven't called you back. My phone is having serious issues right now! For some reason it doesn't give me some messages until like a week later! So, call me again or I'll call you and we can chat about piano lessons. Oh, and if it's not too much trouble, could you ask Rana to invite me to her blog??? I'd really love to keep in touch with her as well!!! please please please!!!! Maybe you could have her send the invite to my gmail account. (chelleblynn@gmail.com)
ALAS! This post isn't going to be very long since I have to work tonight, and Joe-joe is FINALLY taking a nap. (I know, early nap. long story) so time for me to take a nap before Jenni gets home from school! I'll write more later!
And remember, I LOVE COMMENTS! so comment lots and lots and lots!
ok, thats all.

I am so random . . .

So, it's been a few days since my last post, and I've gotten on and tried to post but ALAS! the creative juices have not been flowing!

So, I didn't sleep well last night, so I got on this morning and tried to post something funny and it just didn't happen. So Steve and I were getting ready to go to Orem and I just had a feeling that I might have to work tonight (although with my schedule I shouldn't have worked until tomorrow night) but I couldn't shake the feeling so I called work to see if I was on the schedule tonight, and --surprise-- I am working tonight, tomorrow night, and Wednesday night *ACK* 3 nights in a row! (Apparently I signed up for an extra shift, which is fine cause I get time and a half, but yeah. 3 days in a row is going to kill me!)

Anyway, so I decided since I didn't sleep well last night I should probably take a nap. So Steve went with the kids to Orem and I stayed and here and slept.

When I woke up I thought I'd check to see if there were any comments on my new post . . . . only to find there was no new post. "Hmmmm" said I. I thought for a minute and realized that the post I *thought* I had done was actually in my dream. Once again, I am dreaming about blogging.

I am so random!

The worst part is I can't even remember what my funny post was about in my dream. Bummer.

anyway, time to get ready for work!

thats all!

The Tram

We went up to sundance to ride the tram up the mountain. It was beautiful!!!! I know scenery pics are kinda boring, but really- it was so pretty I couldn't resist!
Ah, my mountains! I love my mountains!!! The worst part of possibly leaving Utah is the mountains! I'll so miss the mountains!
Jenni hated the tram. Sometime around this point she said "Next time we come to do this, I want to be babysat!" Silly scaredy-cat!
It was really the perfect day to ride the tram! The weather was perfect!
Joe-joe loved the tram, but wasn't super excited about the trail (there was a bit of a drop off on the side, he didn't like it so much!) But he did eventually get used to it!
Jenni also didn't like the trail! Every so often you'd hear her yell out or go "whoa!" cause she thought she was going to fall! We had her tethered to Steve or myself the whole time! (Joe-joe and Lizzy too.)
Lizzy being cuddly with mommy! She kept wanting me to carry her or hold her hand! She's so cute! Love that girl!
Fall is so pretty!!! The best time to ride the tram for sure!
At the end of our hike! Joe-joe was kinda done by this point! He wanted to get back on the tram!

The wind picked up a little on the way back down- it was blowing Joe-joe's hair up all funny! So cute! My two men! Aren't they handsome!

We wanted to walk around the shops and stuff, but ALAS!!! I got called into work. (Yeah- they called at like 4:45 and I was supposed to be there at 6. We didn't exactly have time to go all the way back home, and I can't go to work in jeans, so we stopped at Flee's on the way home so I could borrow some clothes! Yay for Flee!)

It was really so fun. I think we're going to go back up again next week when there will be more colors!

so yeah. Thats all! Remember I love comments!! hee hee!
