My little kindergartener! (ACK!)

So, Jenni started kindergarten this week. **sigh** Yes, I am officially a mother of a school aged child. I had to learn to let go of my baby girl ***double-sigh***. I knew it would be hard, but I wasn't prepared for how scared I was for her. I just kept thinking that I couldn't protect her anymore. I can't be there if she gets hurt or upset! It's been a tough week, but she LOVES it! so that really helps.

Here's Jenni the morning of her first day. I couldn't let her ride the bus this day 'cause I needed to see her go for the first time!

Here's my little bug-a-doo in front of her school. She is a Saratoga Shores Shark! (Yeah, kinda lame mascot, I know, but what can you do??) Doesn't she look so little! Too little for school.

Jenni saying goodbye to Steve. This is where I started to loose it!

Jenni went and sat in her seat, and she just looked so scared! It was so hard to leave her! Steve literally had to pull me out of the room! He was like "Chelle, lets go! You can't stay here for the whole class!"

And thats when I really lost it. We walked back to the car and cue the water works! I was trying so hard not to cry, but it just came! ACK! I can't believe I have a kindergartner!

I'm so OLD!

So, after we took Jenn to school, Steve took me to IHOP to get some breakfast. (This was super sweet 'cause Steve greatly dislikes IHOP, but he knew I was needing a distraction, so he took me there since I love it!) I don't think our food has ever come so fast! I mean, seriously, we had only waited 10 minutes TOPS after ordering when we got our food. And you know, on any other day I wouldn't have complained at all, I would have been stoked! But when we got back in our car and the clock only said 9:00, I about died! We dropped Jenni off at 8, stopped to get gas and eat and it only took an hour! I couldn't believe it! So, I still needed another distraction, so we took Joe-joe and Steve and got their hair cut. (I'll put pics in another blog) We didn't get there until about 9:15 and I figured that would take at least an hour, with having to cut both of their hair, so when we got in the car to leave the salon and the clock only said 9:45, I was more than a little bugged! So we decided just to go home and wait for her there. She was riding the bus home anyway!

So finally, after what seemed like years instead of hours, my Jay-jay came home! She rides the 'penguin' bus to school, and the 'saddle' bus home from school. I was so eager to see her!

She just looked so little getting off the bus! Crazy that she's already in school! Yikes!

My Jay-jay just off the bus at the bus stop.

Finally, my Jay-jay was all mine again. She said that school was great, and that they talked about shapes and letters and numbers and colors. So she told me about it, then a few hours later Papa Mike called and she told him. When she was on the phone with him she asked him if he would call her grandma (Marianne) and aunt Nicky (Kyra) and Aunt Alicia and Aunt Jenny for her so she didn't have to say it all over again! What a silly girl.

So, I have a kindergartner. She has had such a great week! (Except for the day someone pushed her on the bus. When I asked her how her day was she said it was terrible!) I am still adjusting to having her at the bus stop by 7:20, especially the mornings where I've worked the night before. On those days its not so hard to get her to the bus, but I've got to get up and get her from the bus when she gets home! Thats been a little tricky! But its all good! She loves it, and I'll get used to it . . . eventually . . . maybe . . . I hope!!

So yeah. I'm old. *sigh* . . .*sigh *. . . *sigh* . . .*sigh* . . .*sigh* . . .*sigh* . . .*sigh* . . . ok I'm gonna hyperventilate if I don't quit it!

Ok, thats all!

Which one are you?!?

Thoughtful and loving. Authority figures probably have been sheltering you all of your life. Thankfully you're a very tranquil person who is content with what life has given you, but secretly you want to know how the outside world works.
.
.
.
So, I took the "Which Disney Princess are You?" quiz, and I apparently am Aurora. I was pretty ok with this. I like aurora. And really, could they have been any closer to me?? I definitely have been sheltered all my life, and secretly, I do want to know how the world works!!! But thats not so secret anymore is it. hmmmmm
.
.
If you'd like to take the quiz, the link is on flee's blog.
.
.
ok thats all.
Well, not really. I'm sure some of you've heard the song from Cars 'Real Gone'. ("I'm american made, but I'm not Chevrolet, my momma taught me wrong from right . . . .") Well, Sheryl Crow sang it for the Cars soundtrack and she did awesome. But I was watching the Disney Chanel with my kiddies and Billy Ray Cyrus has re-done it and he totally says the wrong words. He says "I'm American made, apple pie, chevrolet . . ." Yeah. Whatever! I don't like his version. Not my favorite!!
.
.
But you don't really care about that. so I'm gonna go now!

Doink! Doink! Doink! And a guy . . . in the grass.

Ok, so my Jenni is so funny. A few weeks ago I was drying Jenni's hair but the chair she was sitting on was super low, so I had her kneel so she was high enough. It took me about 15 minutes or so, and when Jenni got off the chair she said that her foot felt funny. I asked her if it felt like little pins and needles were poking it and she said yes. I told her that her foot had fallen asleep, and she needed to stomp it a few times to wake it up. So she proceeded to stomp around the house for the next 20 minutes!

So a few days ago, we were out with flee and Jenni says that her head feels like her foot did. She said it felt like pins were poking it and she asked me what to do about it. I told her there wasn't really a lot she could do. She asked if she could just shake it out and I said I guess. So I was sitting in the front seat and she was sitting behind me. So I hear this funny noise, and I look in the mirror, and Jenni is bumping her head against the window. It was like 'doink doink doink' it was SO funny! So she did that for a few minutes, while I tried SO HARD not to wet my pants in the front seat! Seriously, she is so funny some times.

So a funny story from the 24th of July. We were at Flee's house, and we decided to do some fireworks. Jenni HATES fireworks- literally screams when she hears them, so she was sitting by flee with her hands over her ears. Joe-joe didn't like them at first, but then he got semi used to them, and kinda liked it. So he starts saying what he sees like "firework" and "lights" and random stuff. So we're just talking, and joe-joe's naming things, and suddenly he sees a guy walking along and he says "guy in the grass." he was totally non-chalant about it too! it was super funny.

So Breaking Dawn was AWESOME!! I won't give any spoilers now cause a normal person probably hasn't finished it yet! (I bought it Saturday at Midnight, and finished it . . . . Saturday at like 5 pm- with a 4 hour nap in the middle! Yeah, I'm a little obsessed!) So, yeah. Awesome is all I'll say for now. I will say that I laughed out loud on page 360. but thats all. I'll give people a few weeks to finish it!

Ok since it's 2:30 in the am, I probably should go nite nite. so nite-nite!

ok, thats all!!!!
