Piece of Cake!

So. I'm sitting here at home, feeling sick (dumb flu) and really really wanting a piece of cake! I got sick yesterday, at work unfortunately, and haven't been feeling super since. I totally missed my family's bbq for Pioneer day yesterday, and was super bummed about that. I did see the fireworks for about 5 minutes, but thats pretty much it.

I went and got a piece of cake, but was thinking I probably shouldn't eat it, so I called Flee- who I have retained as my new 'diet enforcer!' She and I decided that this piece of cake wasn't worth it. (Since Steve is bringing me home a more yummy ((smaller)) piece from our niece's 1st Birthday Party.)

Anyway. So yeah. I've been sick the last two days, and I'm a little worried that I might still be sick tomorrow- since I have to work again. I think I'll go see the Dr. and see if I really have the flu- or what. If he says I can go to work with the cute babies- then I'll be ok!

I really don't have anything to say anymore. I'm thinking I maybe should end this post now, but for some insane reason I don't want to. Hmmmmm

Hhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

So. Other than being sick, things are going pretty good for us! Jenni starts Kindergarten next month. I really don't know how I feel about it. I just don't feel old enough to have a kindergartner. And I don't know if I want to send Jenni to someone else for half the day. I hear moms talk about how they are so excited to have their kids in school, to have some free time, but I just don't feel that! I think I'll miss her! :*(

But I should be glad for her, She is SO excited. So stinkin' excited- its cute. And it will be a good time to get a bedtime set for her. Right now she just kinda goes to bed when we do! Probably not the best for a school-goer!

well. yeah. ALAS! That is all I can think to write about! Hope everyone is great!

ok thats all!

bye-
Chelle-b-lynn

My kids are cuter than yours!

No, just kidding! I'm sure yours are so super cute too! (in fact I know most of them are since I know most of them. even the ones that I haven't actually met, like September and Spencer's, but I've seen pics, so I know they are cute!)

Ok, so I just had to brag for a little bit about how cute my kids are. The other day we decided to go out for a little picnic, just the four of us. (We would've invited Flee, but her family was in town for her brother's wedding, so she was in SLC) We left kinda late, about 7 pm ish, so some of the pics are kinda dark, but they're still cute. We went to the store and bought healthy food (cause we're trying to be healthy) and went to a park in Harvest Hills.
After we ate, the kids got on the playground stuff. It was really so so fun!

Joe-joe got on the baby swing, but wanted to be on the big kids swing with Jenni. He is such a cheeser! Seriously, you pull the camera out and he totally starts the cheese! silly kid!

Jenni didn't really want to take pics this night, she was more into playing with the other kids there! Oh and there was this one girl who was SOOO mean! She was probably Jenni's age. Jenni was in the Tube thing you walk through, and was almost at the end, but this girl was in the way. So Jenni says 'excuse me' and the girl totally pushes her all the way back to the other end! I couldn't believe it! and Jenni was so great, she just waited for the girl to put her arms down, and said 'excuse me' again, and walked around her back into the tube! What a sweetie!

Steve got Joe-Joe and they did the 'spider' in the swing. It was so funny- Joe-joe was just laughing his head off!! it was so cute.

It's Independence Day!!!

So this year for our nation's birthday we went to the Freedom Festival in Provo where we met up with Flee, Chuck and Camber, and Jory, Camber's sister. It was SO HOT! We were melting! We looked at a few of the shops, and then Jenni went down one of the big blow-up slides they had.

Then we all went and got snocones, and sat in some shade to try to cool off. It didn't work super well!

........

So Here's a picture of my cute friend flee (aka gimpy hee hee!)

.......

After the Freedom Festival, we went to Steve's Rent's house - the nexdoor neighbors were having a pool party, and the kids LOVED it! And it was a great way to cool off!

......

Jenni looked so cute in her little life jacket! (although she kept wanting to take it off because it was uncomfortable. I said no)

After swimming we went to grandma and grandpa's (aka frank and carol's) We had lots of yummy food, and sat and chilled for a while.

The kids just couldn't get enough of eachother!

I figured I should probably add one of me, even though I didn't really want to!
........
.........
Joe-joe was being a cheeser! He was so excited to have a soda!
........

Finally, we went to Thanksgiving Point (or rather, across the freeway from Thanksgiving Point) to watch the fireworks. They were ok, but not as good as last time! It was still fun to al be together.
It was a fun day spent with Steve's family. And Chelle was excited to learn that the wind made it so Chelle's family was unable to do fireworks, so they saved the pack of at home foreworks for the 24th! WOO HOO!!
ok, thats all! (really, this is the last post for today! sorry it was so long!)

Orem Owlz Baseball game and fireworks

So, last week we went to the Orem Owlz baseball game. It was lots of fun, despite the fact that we were crushed! (We lost 7-1 to Idaho Falls) But it was still fun to be there with the kids, and Steve's 'rents. We even saw one of Chelle's old friends from way back when- Heather (Smart) Backman! She's doing great, and has an ADORABLE little boy! It was great!
Joe-joe LOVED the game! He kept saying 'ballgame! ballgame!" He loves balls, and ballgames of any kind! we're excited for football season to start! He's going to be our little athlete!

After the ball game we watched fireworks. Jenni was calm for the first minute or so, then she pretty much screamed for the rest of the time. She usually likes fireworks, but for some reason, she HATED these ones! (could have been the fact that we were like directly underneath them, and we kept getting rained on by little bits of fire!)
Joe-Joe, who has always loved fireworks and has never been bothered by the sound, didn't like it this time. He got all scared and wanted me to hold him. But he still wanted to watch them. So this was how we watched most of the fireworks!

All in all it was fun! and it was great to see Heather again! We're looking forward to the next Owlz home game! And maybe we'll actually win it this time!

Ok, thats all!

Yet another photo shoot of Jenni's

Ok, I know, 3 posts in one day! What am I becoming! who knew I would be such an avid blogger!! lets just hope it lasts!

So, like I mentioned in an earlier blog (Manti Pageant) Jenni likes to take pictures. I like to call them her photo shoots. She usually has some really funny pictures, and I just had to put some of these in here cause they were . . . well . . . I thought it was funny!

Jenni trying to take a picture of herself. I'm not really sure what the face is about?? Maybe she was trying to smile, but also trying to concentrate on taking the picture?!? I don't really know!!
Everyone loves lights, right! and aren't these lights at Cafe Rio just the most amazing lights you have ever seen??
She wanted to take a picture of Grant (Flee's 'little' brother). Yeah, I mean little in the figurative sense, because he is HUGE! Maye it's just that the last time I saw him was like 4 years ago, and he was not quite so tall, or buff, but seriously! He's only Flee's 'little' brother in the sense that he is younger than her!
There really are no words . . . . . . . . . . . .

Jenni wanted to take a pic and show me that she loved me, but I kept looking at her to see what she was doing. So she kept getting upset and telling me not to look, but for some reason, everyone else at the table was allowed to look! She is so cute! Silly little bug!

So yeah. Thats my Jenni-bug, the photographer! I hear she's taking orders in case you need a photographer for something. Her rates are pretty good too! If you're interested, please call 1-800-555-CUTE (hee hee hee! ok too many blogs in such a short time! It's time for me to go!)

thats, all!

Lehi Parade, and Emmy's float

So, every year pretty much each city in Utah county has some sort of festival thing. Orem does the Summerfest (see post below) Pleasant Grove does the Strawberry Days (ALAS! I missed it this year- had to work.) Well Lehi does the Rodeo Days. Lehi city and The LDS wards in Lehi have some sort of agreement. Apparently Lehi won't allow any alcohol or tobacco adds in the parade as long as the wards in Lehi will all sponsor a float. So Emilee (chelle's sister, aka emmy) was the assistant float director (or something along those lines). We decided to go see her float, so we could support her for all those LONG hours she spent on her super-super cute float! They won 3rd place! (although, I thought her float was much cuter than the first two. Especially the 2nd place one, seriously. It was cute but not anywhere NEAR as cute as emmy's. The first one was pretty good though!) Any who, here's some pics from the parade.

Every one loves the Fire truck of course!
So, for those who didn't hear, in case you've been like under a rock or something (or living outside of Utah like September) Captain Terry of the Lehi police department was shot twice in the head just a few days before the parade. There were all kinds of banners, and things giving their support to his family. It was really very touching!
I had to put a pic of the Army in for Flee! We Love out troops. Again, I was very touched at this point. While the troops were carrying the flag, everyone started clapping and shouting thank you's and stuff. It was nice to hear! Just as a side note- to all of you who have made sacrifices and sent family or friends out, Thank you so much. I have to say a very special thank you to Dave and Flee and all their family. Flee is very special to me and my family, and we are so grateful for her and Dave's sacrifice for our country. We know they will be extremely blessed for all that they are giving up. And Lizzie will be so very blessed for the time she's missing now with her Daddy.
Joe-joe bear got a little bored waiting for the floats to come. At this point in the parade there were just a bunch of VIP's sitting on cars, and stuff.
So! Finally here comes Emmy's float! (I would have gotten pics of the first two, but Jenni was playing with the camera) Apparently Emmy is in the Chappel Valley 2nd ward!

The theme was Johhny Appleseed. It was SO cute! I mean, even cuter in person! All the kids were wearing these cute straw hats, and they had these potato sack bags. It was great!

Here's Emmy (in the pink hat) and Aunt Jenny (in the straw hat) Jenny is assuming her natural position- hand raised, camera poised, and taking a picture! (Jenn is known as the family photographer/journal-er if ever you need a picture, or a fact from a certain event, ask Jenn. Odds are she took pictures and wrote about it in her journal! It's great!)

The end of Emmy's float! At this time we decided it was time to go because we were BAKING. It was SO hot. I got SOOO sunburned- but only on my left side! ALAS! Such is life. Jenni decided she wanted to walk the rest of the parade with Emmy, Jan, Jenn, and Emma, so we ran and caught up with them.

Once we were done, we all started collecting all the bags and hats. Then we sent all the kids to the grass, and they all got popsicles. Jenni was having lots of fun with Emma!

So, the parade was super fun, but we didn't stay for all of it! We wanted to get over and help Flee move into her new apartment (YAY!). But it was fun. It's always fun to see the kids watching the parade. They get so excited!

So yeah. thats all!

Jenni's Super-Cute Haircut

So, I have always preferred long hair on my Jenni. I just think she looks so super cute. However, I got very tired of the constant fighting to get the tangles out, and the complaining EVERYTIME we had to put a 'pretty' in her hair. So, ALAS! I decided it was time to go short! So, here are some pics of Jenni getting her hair cut.

Here's Jenni getting her hair washed! (And yes, she did pick her outfit out herself! She's getting better- at least they semi-match!)
Here's Jenni's pre-cut length. It is actually a little longer than it looks here because she stylist has a couple inches in her hand. Her hair was down to her elbows.

Jenni during the cut, looking somewhat aprehensive about this whole thing! (look at those super fast stylist hands! she's mazo!)

Here's Steve sporting a handlebar mustache! (That is actually some of jenni's hair that was cut off! I had to keep a little bit for myself!)

Now the haircut is done, and she's round brushing it! (Jenni was excited to be almost done!)

All done! Jenni stood by her stylist (whose name escapes me at the moment) They both did such a good job! Jenni was so patient, and the stylist! I mean Look at Jenni's hair! She's definitely mazo! (oh btw, mazo is short for amazing!)

Jenni in the parking lot after the haircut- she got a sucker for being so good! (of course, Joe-joe got one just for being . . . joe!) All in all, I am liking the short hair more and more! I think I may even be liking it more than the long hair! hmmm. yeah, I'm liking the short hair. And it's pretty easy to style too! So far I've only actually roundbrushed it once, but it only took me about 15 mins! it was pretty cool! And HELLO! It's DARLING! but maybe I'm a little biased . . . .
