Here's my little bug-a-doo in front of her school. She is a Saratoga Shores Shark! (Yeah, kinda lame mascot, I know, but what can you do??) Doesn't she look so little! Too little for school.
Jenni saying goodbye to Steve. This is where I started to loose it!
Jenni went and sat in her seat, and she just looked so scared! It was so hard to leave her! Steve literally had to pull me out of the room! He was like "Chelle, lets go! You can't stay here for the whole class!"
And thats when I really lost it. We walked back to the car and cue the water works! I was trying so hard not to cry, but it just came! ACK! I can't believe I have a kindergartner!
I'm so OLD!
So, after we took Jenn to school, Steve took me to IHOP to get some breakfast. (This was super sweet 'cause Steve greatly dislikes IHOP, but he knew I was needing a distraction, so he took me there since I love it!) I don't think our food has ever come so fast! I mean, seriously, we had only waited 10 minutes TOPS after ordering when we got our food. And you know, on any other day I wouldn't have complained at all, I would have been stoked! But when we got back in our car and the clock only said 9:00, I about died! We dropped Jenni off at 8, stopped to get gas and eat and it only took an hour! I couldn't believe it! So, I still needed another distraction, so we took Joe-joe and Steve and got their hair cut. (I'll put pics in another blog) We didn't get there until about 9:15 and I figured that would take at least an hour, with having to cut both of their hair, so when we got in the car to leave the salon and the clock only said 9:45, I was more than a little bugged! So we decided just to go home and wait for her there. She was riding the bus home anyway!
So finally, after what seemed like years instead of hours, my Jay-jay came home! She rides the 'penguin' bus to school, and the 'saddle' bus home from school. I was so eager to see her!
She just looked so little getting off the bus! Crazy that she's already in school! Yikes!
My Jay-jay just off the bus at the bus stop.
Finally, my Jay-jay was all mine again. She said that school was great, and that they talked about shapes and letters and numbers and colors. So she told me about it, then a few hours later Papa Mike called and she told him. When she was on the phone with him she asked him if he would call her grandma (Marianne) and aunt Nicky (Kyra) and Aunt Alicia and Aunt Jenny for her so she didn't have to say it all over again! What a silly girl.
So, I have a kindergartner. She has had such a great week! (Except for the day someone pushed her on the bus. When I asked her how her day was she said it was terrible!) I am still adjusting to having her at the bus stop by 7:20, especially the mornings where I've worked the night before. On those days its not so hard to get her to the bus, but I've got to get up and get her from the bus when she gets home! Thats been a little tricky! But its all good! She loves it, and I'll get used to it . . . eventually . . . maybe . . . I hope!!
So yeah. I'm old. *sigh* . . .*sigh *. . . *sigh* . . .*sigh* . . .*sigh* . . .*sigh* . . .*sigh* . . . ok I'm gonna hyperventilate if I don't quit it!
Ok, thats all!
